I painted this piece for an art fair that was Flag themed this year. It won "Most Emotional". To me, Tears of Our Forefathers represents grief, division, sacrifice, and the painful feeling that the ideals generations fought for are becoming harder to recognize. But art is meant to make us feel something. Sometimes it's meant to make us uncomfortable. And sometimes it simply gives shape to emotions we struggle to put into words. After encouragement from friends and family, I decided to make this original artwork available on as mug, prints, shirts, sweatshirts, buttons, and more.
